Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Souvenir iOS app and website. By downloading, accessing, or using Souvenir, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use Souvenir.

You need to be at least 13 to have an account, and old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you are under the local age of digital consent, you need a parent or guardian to agree on your behalf.

You are responsible for everything you do with your account, including the photos you take and what you do with the people you invite to a roll.

You sign in with Apple or Google. The provider handles your credentials; we never see your password. Keep your device and your provider account secure. Anyone with access to either may be able to access your Souvenir account.

You can delete your account anytime from inside the app. See the privacy policy for what that removes.

Your photos are yours. You keep the copyright on every frame you shoot.

To provide shared rolls and photo development, you grant Souvenir a limited license to store and process photos submitted to shared rolls. This license is limited to operating the service and delivering those photos to the other participants in the roll. We do not use your photos for marketing or model training.

Photos on personal rolls stay on your device and are never uploaded.

When you join a shared roll, the other participants can see every frame you contribute once the roll is developed. The owner of the roll decides when developing happens (on Events rolls) or it happens when participants agree (on Friends rolls). You can leave a roll at any time, but frames you already contributed stay with the roll for the people who were there.

You must respect the privacy and consent of the people you photograph. You may not upload content that you do not own, that violates another person’s rights, or that is unlawful. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these requirements.

Personal rolls are free, one per month. Friends and Events are paid subscriptions purchased through the App Store. Pricing, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple under their standard terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

If a subscription lapses, your existing rolls remain visible, but you may lose the ability to create new shared rolls or invite past the free limits until you renew.

You may not use Souvenir to:

• upload, share, or store content that is illegal, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or content that infringes another person’s rights;
• harass or impersonate another person, or invade another person’s privacy;
• reverse-engineer the app, scrape the service, or attempt to access data that you are not authorized to access;
• resell, sublicense, or misrepresent Souvenir as your product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, including without advance notice where appropriate and permitted by law.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features over time. We do not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available. When practical, we will notify subscribers before making a material change to a paid feature.

We work to keep Souvenir and its photo-development services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the extent permitted by law, Souvenir and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of photos or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Souvenir in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.

You can stop using Souvenir and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. On termination, provisions that by their nature should survive, including ownership, acceptable use, and limitation of liability, will remain in effect.

If we make a material update to these terms, we will change the effective date above and, where reasonable, let active users know in the app. Continuing to use Souvenir after a change means you accept the new terms.
